What is an OA Off-Loader Brace?
An OA offloaded knee brace works by shifting the load away from the damaged area of the knee joint, thereby reducing pain and discomfort. The brace is designed to apply pressure to the thigh bone (femur) and the shin bone (tibia) while unloading pressure from the knee joint itself. This creates a space between the bones, which helps to reduce friction and relieve pain.
ClimaFlex Technology
There is a lot of technology in a brace like this but in laymen's terms, what does it mean to you?
- Wearing conventional braces, especially in the summer time, can be very hot, sticky and can lead to bad smells. Having a brace that is moisture wicking (drys up your sweat) with air to flow helps keep the brace cool and dry. Any any sweat that does stick around comes into contact with the anti-microbial fabric so the braces does not smell.
